we’ve always been inspired by the countryside. the nothingness that is really everything. the wide open spaces. the rolling green pastures, bales of hay scattered through the fields, old men on tractors, cows grazing, and the big blue sky above. add in the texas sunset, and life is dang near perfect.
so we decided to load the trailer with our latest and greatest farmhouse goods, our favorite chippy peely vintage furniture…some painted in our junk gypsy paint…and take a drive out to the country.
where the green grass grows. (or kinda green and brown grass grows…this is summer in texas, people.)
and the hay bales stand tall.
just as a side note….beautiful photography isn’t always beautiful on the other side of the camera….i have so much gratitude to archie for capturing this insanely flattering shot of my circus-worthy contortionist moves…minus the glittery, sparkly, sequin outfit…and the great legs.
i mean seriously, this is a very, verrrrryyy weird pic. thanks again, arch. you rock.
the golden hour btdubs (that’s “by the way” for those that are wondering…i’m not sure if that’s a thing or not, but i just decided to go with it.) was pretty darn golden…and pretty darn awesome.
and just because horses make us happy…
and so do cows…
and well, butter…butter makes us REALLY, REALLY happy.
and mason jars…well, let’s just say #masonjarsforever.
and if this granny afghan doesn’t make its way to my bed RIGHT now, i might die.
it’s not everyday you hang your overalls out on a hay bale…but this is photoshoot world, and in photoshoot world, everything doesn’t always make sense. which is what’s really great and awesome and beautiful.
because out here, nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
and this pretty much says it all…
and this kinda does too…
words to live by.
amen. y’all. A.M.E.N.
